Eligio Catarinella Appointed New Position Responsible For Alfa Romeo Marketing And Communication Global

Alfa Romeo announced the selection of a new Global Marketing and Communications Manager, Eligio Catarinela, to report to Jean Philipe, Alfa Romeo’s CEO. Eligio was born in Turing where he finished his studies at the Politecnico di Torino University where he obtained a degree in engineering and a master’s degree in marketing management at the Turing University of Economics. Eligio started his career in the automotive world in 2005 working for a well-known car manufacturer.
Eligio Catarinela since the beginning of his career 18 years ago has held several important positions, working in positions of current responsibility for the sales and marketing field, choosing to occupy these important positions both from Italy and abroad, allowing Eligio the opportunity to acquire great skills and experience in the automotive sector. Long before taking up the position of global marketing and communication manager for Alfa Romeo, Eligio served as head of marketing for various car manufacturers for the EMEA & Abarth region in Italy from 2012 to 2016. Eligio returned to Italy at the beginning of 2019 where the position of head of marketing and communication for FCA Italy was given to him where in charge of managing the product portfolio of all the brands. By 2020 Eligio was chosen to work as general manager for big well-known brands in Italy.

Alessandro Nardizzi was appointed to lead Alfa Romeo’s global communication, under the Marketing and Communications management. Eligio Catarinella was appointed to the position of Francesco Calcara, who stayed in the same position since the creation of Stellantis. Calcara is recognized for coordinating the presentation of the first electric car in the brand’s history, making the Alfa Romeo brand a global premium automaker. Calcara undertakes the role of Chief Operating Officer of Free2move eSolutions, a group that supports and promotes the evolution to electric mobility, playing an active role to attain Eligio Catarinella appointed Head of Global Marketing and Communications for Alfa Romeo and clean mobility. Due to this great 18-year track record and experience gained abroad, Alfa Romeo puts Eligio Catarinella in charge of the company’s Global Marketing and Communication.
