Alfa Romeo Formula 1 Set To Split From Sauber Partnership

Alfa Romeo declared that it will end its partnership between Sauber and its Formula 1 team at the end of the 2023 season. Sauber has become Alfa Romeo’s F1 Team’s main sponsor and has focused on bringing the performance of Formula One to Alfa’s current lineup. Sauber and Alfa Romeo partnered back in 2018, CEO of Alfa Romeo has stated that the partnership has been a huge success in pushing the company forward.
“The cooperation with Sauber is going extremely well. I can see that Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu love their Alfas. We can see clear progress from the team compared to the 2021 season and that’s a positive story” Said Imperato Alfa Romeo CEO.
Audi has recently announced its entry into the FIA Formula 1 World Championship. Alfa Romeo has not hinted at its exit from Formula 1, which leaves fans wondering about the possible partnerships with Haas, the other Ferrari-led outfit on the grid. Alfa Romeo continues to manufacture the latest technology for its race car and team. Sauber played a huge role in the aerodynamics of the Alfa Romeo F1 team’s race car.
Alfa Romeo was champion in the inaugural World Grand Prix Championship in 1925, in the inaugural European Championship in 1931, and in the inaugural Formula 1 World Championship in 1950, and it would be a shame for Alfa Romeo to leave the championship after such a tremendous record of victories.
