Alfa Romeo’s Electric Future: The 2024 Tonale and Beyond

Alfa Romeo is on the path to success, adding two all-new vehicles to its lineup. The Milano and the 2024 Tonale will join the elite group of Alfa vehicles. The Tonale is the brand’s first plug-in hybrid ever and will set a template for the rest of the lineup to add an electric trim. Under the floor of the Tonale is a 15.5-kWh battery pack that’s capable of powering the SUV for up to 33 miles on electric power. The latest vehicle to be announced is the Milano, the brand’s first fully electric vehicle being closely monitored by an expert team of Italian engineers that have a long history with Alfa Romeo models. Italian engineers will use their expertise and experience working with models such as the 8C, 4c, and the high-performance Giulia GTA to integrate as much as possible into the Milano and future Alfa models.
Alfa Romeo: Electrifying the Future
The 2024 Tonale is equipped with a rear-mounted 243 KW electric motor assisted by an internal 1.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder combustion engine. The compact SUV has a six-speed automatic transmission paired to a 15.5-kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The Tonale moves quickly, achieving a 0-60 mph time of 5.5 seconds.The 2023 Tonale has a sleek design and is one of the highlights of the Alfa Romeo brand, reaching an overall length of 178.3 inches. Alfa designed the Tonale to be aerodynamic and sporty while keeping its Italian touch.
Inside the 2024 Tonale, drivers will find a stunning interior with red leather only available in 2024 Tonale models with red, white, and black exterior paint. State-of-the-art features across the vehicle includes a 10.3-inch multi-touch screen with a fast rendering which activates the new Alfa Romeo interface that is very intuitive and easy to control. The system is perfectly compatible with Android Auto, Apple Carplay, and an Alexa-powered voice system giving an incredible and satisfying driving experience. The 2023 Tonale’s electric switchgear is a rotary control for its driving modes. In addition Alfa has included its iconic metallic paddle shifters which puts the power of shifting at the hands of drivers.
