Alfa Romeo’s Return to the Top
At this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, the limited-edition Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale made its public debut in the United Kingdom—its first appearance outside of Italy. At the Festival at Electric Avenue, Alfa Romeo’s first all-electric vehicle, the new Junior, joins it.
On Saturday, July 13th, at 12:00 BST, Pete Greaves, also known as Petrol Ped, will conduct a live question and answer session with Alejandro Mesonero-Romanos, the head of design for Alfa Romeo, on the Alfa Romeo stand in the Supercar paddock. They will provide a live walkthrough of 33 Stradale, answering audience queries and talking about how the concept was implemented. You can ask questions on the @PetrolPed and @AlfaRomeoUK Instagram feeds. On the Alfa Romeo UK Facebook page, the Q&A will also be accessible.
Performance and Luxury Redefined
At this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, the 33 Stradale is making its first public appearance by being on display close to the Supercar Paddock. Only 33 33 Stradales, which are based on the legendary 1967 model of the same name, will be created, marking Alfa Romeo’s comeback to the world of “fuoriserie” (custom-built) automobiles. Each customer works with the Alfa Romeo Bottega to produce a unique and customized version of the car, which was designed by Alfa Romeo Centro Stile. The Bottega draws inspiration from the workshops of the Renaissance and the coachbuilders of the 1960s, who all produced artwork based on the specifications of their customers.
The 33 Stradale’s customers can select between a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine that generates over 620 horsepower and a fully electric powertrain that produces over 750 horsepower. Throughout the event, 33 Stradale was on exhibit close to the Supercar Paddock. Also on show at Electric Avenue at the Festival of Speed is the brand-new Alfa Romeo Junior, the first vehicle with an all electric drivetrain. Junior is small in stature, naturally athletic, and instantly recognizable as Italian. Offering two power output options: 156 horsepower with a maximum range of 250 miles (WLTP) or 280 horsepower for a sportier range of up to 215 miles (WLTP). The pinnacle of Alfa Romeo DNA is seen on both models. The new Junior is easy to charge, taking less than 30 minutes to complete a 10-80% charge using a 100kW rapid charger.
A New Era for Alfa Romeo: Introducing the Alfa Romeo Junior
Junior, a true Alfa Romeo with best-in-class road holding, joins the world of electric cars with the lowest weight in the class and the best mass distribution. With its 14.6-degree direct steering, the Veloce variant boasts the most precise steering in the segment, which further enhances its remarkable road holding capabilities. The front and rear anti-roll bars provide rapid cornering with a high degree of grip; the four-piston monobloc calipers on the front discs measure over 380mm; the Torsen differential provides the best traction possible under all circumstances. The sports suspension has been lowered by 25mm.
